KLM UK Engineering, formerly Air UK Engineering, is wholly owned by KLM Royal Dutch airlines in the
Netherlands. It provides engineering support to the sister companies , KLM UK Limited and BUZZ operating scheduled and non-scheduled commercial air services throughout the UK and Europe.

The Requirement

To provide an online platform that provides information on the maintenance facilities available, an online
searchable spare parts database, and avionics training courses. Information is provided on the extensive
workshop support for the repair and overhaul of components, on-site paint facility, design, technical and
logistical support.

The Project

Following a detailed analysis by 101 of the KLM UK Engineering requirements the web site was developed and has several content management areas.

Within the KLM UK Engineering web site there are the following content managed areas, News, Training
Courses and Training Diary, document publishing and user administration. Other parts of the site contain static content.

The development of an online logistics database that enables the visitor to search for specific spare parts.
Also a capability search enabling the visitor to locate a component on their capability list.
Vacancies section containing the latest positions available.

The site uses 101's SmartWebb content management system.
